PMP-CAPM Exam Prep Course (Online Format)


 

Course Description: PMP/CAPM Exam Preparation - This course exposes students and practicing project managers to the Project Management Body of Knowledge processes and standards and prepares students to take the PMP or CAPM certification exam

Course Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate an ability to apply inputs, tools & techniques and outputs of the 47 project management processes tested in the PMP/CAPM exam
  • Demonstrate the applied use of the traditional PMBOK Process Groups and Knowledge Areas with artifacts in the initiating, planning, executing, controlling & monitoring and closing groups that are tested in the PMP/CAPM exam
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the PMP/CAPM exam requirements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the PMI policies and procedures required to fulfil professional responsibility that are tested in the PMP/CAPM exam
 
Class Schedule - Late Summer, 2017
  • Class meets online, every Thursday evening, from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM EST. (Eastern Standard Time)
  • (7) Total class sessions, (2) Units per session, (14) Total Units
  • Eligible for 35 PDU's upon completion of the course.
  • Total number of class hours = 35 (total hours includes classtime sessions and simulations)

STUDENT PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:  (Prior to taking the exam and after completing the prep course)

CAPM:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 1,500 hours of project experience or 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam (completion of this course fulfills the required number of hours needed in order to take the exam)

PMP:

  • Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or the global equivalent)
  • 7,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education (completion of this course fulfills the required number of hours needed in order to take the exam)

-OR-

  • Four-year degree
  • 4,500 hours leading and directing projects
  • 35 hours of project management education

You must be a current PMI Chapter Member in order to access and download the PMI PMBOK that will be used for the class.
Please provide Dr. Onu with your PMI Membership number first, in order to obtain a special code for registration.
 
 

Cancellation and Refunds:

Harrisburg University reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses/events at its discretion. Should a program or event be cancelled by the University, a full refund will be issued.

If you need to cancel your registration and would like a refund, please email MMafnas@HarrisburgU.edu. Please attach the confirmation email that you received at time of registration.

A refund of 100% will be issued within 7 business days of your registration date.
A refund of 50% will be issued up until 8 days prior to the start of the course/event.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations 7 or less days prior to the start of the course/event.
