Leadership Development for STEM Women (Philadelphia)
The Leadership Development for STEM Women is a six-month career development program that empowers women in STEM through workshops, peer-group mentoring, and one-on-one coaching.
This highly successful program, developed at Rutgers University, has been adapted by the STEM-UP Network to meet the needs of faculty, business, and government professionals throughout the Philadelphia region.
Develop leadership skills and broaden your social and professional skills with the STEM-UP Network, a social enterprise dedicated to the representation, retention, and advancement of women in the STEM fields.
WHO -- The program is for STEM women interested in professional development, advancement and leadership.
WHAT -- 5 interactive workshops to develop skills, peer group mentoring during and post-program to apply skills, one-on-one coaching to focus goals & resolve challenges, networking with program participants and others in our growing network
WHY -- Develop leadership & self-advocacy skills. Learn techniques to move your network forward more effectively, and broaden your social and professional networks.
- Attending all workshops in Philadelphia, PA (10/11, 11/8, 12/6, 1/10, 2/7)
- Participating in five peer group conversations (in-person or by phone), scheduled with your group
- Participating in individual coaching sessions of one hour (in person or by phone), scheduled with your coach
Upon receipt of your application, you will receive an email from the Director of STEM-UP, Rubina Azizdin, to schedule a brief phone call to discuss your goals for the program and to confirm that the program is a good fit for your needs.
